From your problem statement it would appear that what you want to do is make the database startup using the spfile. What exactly happens when you attempt to do so?

you can take RMAN full backup one day a week and incremental level 1 one day a week and rest of days level 2 backups.
this will reduce backup time

It is always safe to take full backup. But it depends upon your backup strategy.If your database is very big, it is not possible to take full backup everyday. You can go for weekly twice or thrice full database backup and rest of the days…
