About Me:: I've been using Oracle since 1992. I am the chair of the UKOUG Development Engineering SIG chair. I was made an Oracle ACE in 2003 (in the days before they were called ACEs). Also in 2003 I won Oracle Magazine's OTN Contributor of the Year.

I work as a consultant for Logica. It says "software architect" on my business card, because nobody really knows what one of those is. Basically I am a database developer, (i.e. mainly PL/SQL) but I also work as a DBA, systems analyst, designer and business consultant. I also cook.

Blogger has eaten Radio Free Tooting

I am bummed out. This is the second time in six months that Blogger has taken my blog down. The last time was because they thought it was a spam blog. This time the blogspot site is just not there. I get a stripped down version of the dashboard instead. There are a few other people in the Help forums who seem to have had something similar happen to them. Unfortunately these outages have been occurring since 29-JAN and there doesn't seem to be anyone who has managed to get their site back yet.… Continue
